Pair of larger than life figures entitled Ecriture & Lecture by Mathurin Moreau (Dijon,18/Nov/1822 - Paris,14/Feb/1912). Val d’Osne foundry marks. Mathurin Moreau started working at the Val d’Osne foundry in about 1850 and in later years he became one of the foundry’s administrators.
